Dracula's Daughters vs The Space Brains

I have been a fan of monster mash-ups since I was but a wee little one, watching flicks like King Kong vs. Godzilla and Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman on my parents old Zenith.  It's been a long time since I've seen a really good and worthy mash-up flick.  Films like the Underworld series just don't cut it for me.  There's no sense of fun to them.  There has been a monster mash void in my heart for years.  Enter Ghost Works Pictures and their phenomenal short film, Dracula's Daughters vs The Space Brains!

This film is five and a half minutes of complete B-Movie celluloid bliss starring non other than Neil Patrick Harris!  Shyeah!  NPH is out for a stroll with a lovely ballet dancer....who he wished to join on her tour.  She agrees to let him join her, but wishes to introduce him to her sister.....turns out the lovely lasses are vampires....and he is their next intended meal.....but all is not as it seems.

There isn't anything that I don't love about this film.  The music is perfectly fitting and really brings you into the retro b-movie vibe.  The art direction is fantastic with terrific use of colored light.  The best of course is the special effects, of which there are quite a few.  The vampire girls have terrific blood red eyes are a modern echo of Christopher Lee's bloodshot Count Dracula.  The Space Brains are absolutely awesome and must be seen!

Though played strictly for camp, tons of love and affection have been put into this film and I can't wait to see what writer and directors Frank Ippolito and Ezekiel Zabrowski come up with next!  The film is available on iTunes for a mere $1.99...so do yourself a favor and download and watch this amazing B-Movie Monster Mash Up of epic proportions!

My only complaint:   I wish it was a full length movie!
